Register now for fall semester adult French classes!

We are excited to open up registration for our 10-week Zoom French semester! Classes begin the week of September 6th and finish before Thanksgiving. Please pre-register here ASAP (August 25th deadline). Details are below. Please e-mail learnfrench@afslc-ut.org with any questions.

The Alliance Française de Salt Lake City presents

Fall 2021 adult French courses

10  weekly 1.5-hour classes via Zoom

Week of September 6 – Week of November 15 *

$215 for 15 hours ($14.33/hour)

Course offerings:

Beginner 1 (Novice Low; lower than A1) – Instructor: Lindsay – Mondays 6:30-8:00

Beginner 2 (Novice High A1/A2) – Instructor: Ariel – Wednesdays 6:00-7:30

Intermediate Low-Mid (B1) – Instructor: Mireille – Tuesdays 5:30-7:00

Intermediate Literature & Grammar (B1) – Instructor:  Jennifer – Thursdays 5:30-7:00**

Advanced Conversation (B1/B2) – Instructor: Daniel – Tuesdays 6:30-8:00

Some classes can start =/- 30 minutes, so please let us know if that makes a difference in you being able to attend.

** You will read and discuss Lettres parisiennes: Histoires d’exil by Nancy Huston & Leila Sebbar (purchase this ASAP). Grammar will focus on the subjunctive.

Important details: 

Alliance Française membership: Students must be AF members with dues payable annually. Individual student membership is $27 per year.

Student enrollment: There is a 3 student minimum to make a class viable. If only 2 students register, the rate will be $25/hour per student (semi-private class). Private tutoring lessons are also available at $45/hour. Classes will be capped at 6 students.

*Note: This is a span of 11 weeks. Your instructor will plan to take a week of “fall break” at some point. Date TBD.
