Beginner Intensive:

Course Description: Designed to help students reach a functional level of speaking quickly. Useful for students looking to prepare for upcoming travel, business, or those who would like to quickly review beginner concepts. This course is intended for students starting with minimal or no speaking ability in French.

Dates: June 3-June 14

Day & Time: MWF 6:00-8:00 PM

Location: Westminster College, room TBA; Students may park free of charge in campus garages after 4:30 PM.
Course fee*: $155  Registration and payment due May 31, 2019

Beginner 1.5 Mini course:

Course Description: Designed as a continuation of Beginner 1, as a preparation for Beginner 2, or a refresher course for students who may have had an introductory French class in the past but would like a review of more basic beginner subjects. This course would be helpful for students who can get their basic meaning across while speaking, but have some larger gaps in vocabulary and grammar that prevents more detailed conversations. Approximate proficiency levels: ACTFL Novice Mid-High / CEFR A1-A2.

Intermediate Low:

Course Description: Designed for students who have completed beginner 2 level courses in the past. Would be helpful for students who can hold conversations on a variety of topics, but may find it difficult to sustain coherent communication on a paragraph level. Will still need moderate vocabulary and grammar support in many tenses. Approximate CEFR proficiency levels: A2/emerging B1.

Intermediate-Mid Mini course:

Course Description: Designed for students who can hold conversations on a variety of topics and are very often accurate with some gaps in understanding. Can use past or future tenses but will still need some vocabulary and grammar support in some tenses. Can write in full paragraphs, but may still need help with longer discourse. Approximate CEFR proficiency levels: B1/emerging B2)

             * All students must have a student membership to AFSLC ($27 in dues yearly) in addition to paying course fees *
