Alexandra David-Néel, born Louise Eugénie Alexandrine Marie David (24 October 1868 – 8 September 1969), was a Belgian–French explorerspiritualistBuddhistanarchist and writer. She is most known for her 1924 visit to LhasaTibet when it was forbidden to foreigners. David-Néel wrote over 30 books about Eastern religion, philosophy, and her travels, including Magic and Mystery in Tibet which was published in 1929. Her teachings influenced the beat writers Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg, the populariser of Eastern philosophy Alan Watts, and the esotericist Benjamin Creme 

Murielle Blanchard, a French citizen and a travel agent in town, discovered Alexandra David Neel at the age of 18. She immediately fell in love with this amazing adventurer woman. After reading most of her books, she followed her steps and she is herself traveling all over the world. Murielle has a passion for travel, Buddhist countries and inspiring women of all centuries.
